Alan’s Chips Quotes: Put Payment Terms Beside the Product Cost

5 November 2026

Two quotations show the same snack but ask for payment at different times. A product-price comparison alone does not explain the whole purchasing decision.

Align the basket first

Match exact product, flavour, net weight, retail-pack count and ordering unit. Keep delivery and tax basis visible. A payment arrangement cannot make different baskets identical. Use the RCPL range enquiry to identify the product requirement; actual terms need a supplier proposal.

Record dates rather than vague labels

“Cash,” “advance” and “credit” can be used loosely in a conversation. Ask what event triggers payment, the due date, payment method and any conditions. No credit facility, discount or financing arrangement is offered here.

Compare known totals

Suppose an invented proposal has product cost ₹5,000 and freight ₹300 before GST. Its known pre-tax total is ₹5,300. A second hypothetical ₹5,100 proposal including freight is ₹200 lower on that limited basis, if the basket matches. Payment timing remains a separate decision. These figures are not Alan's rates or advice about the value of credit; no interest or tax rate is assumed.

Keep approval with the responsible buyer

Have the workplace or retailer's responsible finance person review payment commitments. Do not let a supplier email saying “regular terms” replace the actual approved arrangement. Save the accepted quote version and payment instruction separately from a product photograph.

This sheet makes the commercial conditions visible. It does not decide whether a particular business should borrow, offer credit or accept a legal commitment.

Frequently asked questions

Does Mediators offer credit under this article?

No. Ask for the actual supplier proposal and have the responsible buyer review it.

Can a higher price be justified automatically by later payment?

No. Keep price and timing distinct; this guide does not value a financing arrangement.

Are the example amounts real Alan's prices?

No. They are invented before-GST totals for comparing known quote lines.

What does on-delivery payment mean?

Ask for the exact agreed event, recipient and process rather than relying on the phrase alone.

Who should approve payment commitments?

The person authorised under the business's purchasing and finance process.

Make the next enquiry specific

Use the related buying guide for the wider decision, then send Mediators India an enquiry with the exact product or model, quantity, location and required date. Ask for current terms; availability and any optional service must be confirmed.
