Farmley Makhana Price: Compare the Pack, Not the Photograph

23 October 2026

Two makhana packs appear in a search result. One looks larger, the other has a lower price. Neither photograph tells you whether the comparison is fair.

Before choosing Farmley makhana for an office, write down the flavour, net weight and number of packs in the offer. Then compare the food quantity and the way you plan to serve it.

Decode a multipack listing

Farmley's Himalayan Salted listing identifies a box with four 77 g units. That is 308 g of labelled net product across the box. It is not one 77 g box, and it is not proof that this format is available from every supplier.

Ask whether the quote is per unit, box or case. A unit price copied into a purchase order with the wrong quantity description can create a much bigger misunderstanding than a small discount resolves.

Compare cost per gram

Use the same tax basis and delivery treatment for both quotes. Here is an illustrative example dated 22 October 2026 using invented prices and a hypothetical second pack, not Farmley offers.

Comparison inputFormat AFormat B
Net quantity4 × 77 g = 308 gAssumed 200 g
Assumed price excluding GST₹800₹500
Product cost per gramAbout ₹2.60₹2.50
Product cost for a chosen 20 g allocationAbout ₹51.95₹50

The 20 g allocation is a costing assumption, not a recommended serving or a manufacturer yield. The example excludes GST, freight, serving cups, staff time and loss after opening. Use actual available packs and quoted prices before deciding.

A small price difference may not decide the format

If people take a snack back to a desk, an offered individual unit may fit the routine. If an attendant serves a meeting, a shared pack may be worth comparing. Neither is automatically less wasteful: that depends on what is opened, served and left.

Keep packaging cost and convenience in the conversation. Cost per gram is a useful common measure; it does not tell you how many people will accept the snack or how the pantry will manage the remainder.

Keep flavour and label checks specific

Taste the actual flavour proposed, rather than assuming all flavoured makhana will appeal equally. Note seasoning preference and the serving arrangement. Retain the current ingredient and allergen information with the pack.

Avoid buying a category on the strength of a blanket “healthy snack” description. This article makes no nutrition comparison. If a dietary question matters to the order, use the delivered SKU's current label and obtain clarification rather than generalising across the brand.

Get a quote you can put straight into an order

A useful quotation lists the exact product, each unit's net weight, units per box, boxes per case, price basis, GST and delivery. Add the required date and ask what substitutions would require your agreement.

On arrival, count units and check seals, printed dates and the description against that quote. The pack shown online may change; use the actual order and received goods to close the loop.

Browse Farmley makhana and request a pack-specific quotation. Include whether you want desk snacks, meeting bowls or a retail shelf format.

Frequently asked questions

Is the lowest sticker price the cheapest option?

Not necessarily. Compare net quantity, pack count, tax basis and delivery before comparing price per gram.

Does four times 77 g mean 308 g of product?

Yes for that stated format. Confirm that the quotation covers all four units, not one unit.

Is 20 g the recommended makhana serving?

No. It is a chosen allocation used only in the illustrative costing table.

Are the prices in the table current Farmley prices?

No. They are invented examples to show the arithmetic, excluding GST and the listed extras.

Can we order exactly the online pack locally?

Availability needs confirmation for the exact SKU and quantity before placing an order.
